Not only does it cover site content but also programmatic content, like outbid messages, which are generated by Auctionv2, ensuring complete localisation. Designed to work at the lowest tier of .NET, it’s fast, and doesn’t impede on your site performance.

Red2 is happy to have been selected as the provider of auction technology for AMG. The auction system is being used with a points based model, replacing currency. Bidders are able to bid using allocated points for specific items. This is a closed B2B auction environment, and is amongst the first of our customers to fully utilize the new Auction v2 technology.

Auctionv2.com will be made available within the next two months, giving you the ability to create an auction account online, add branding and run different types of auction. Auctionv2.com will support e-procurement, forward, reverse and tender auctions. Auctionv2.com is the definitive auction platform for small to medium sized businesses, or those customers who wish to run a single, one-off, auction.

Today, Red2 unveil Red2 Auction v2.00, a major revision to our auction platform. The new version builds on the solid foundations of v1.71 and includes a higher degree of flexibility, enabling Red2 Auction to be used for a wider range of requirements. This is made possible with a new “plug-in” architecture, allowing customer-specific business logic and workflow to be reliably incorporated. The plug-in system encompasses not only the engine and work flow but also the surrounding extranet and management tools. No other auction solution affords the same flexibility and stability.

We have also taken the opportunity to further optimise performance and scalability as well as expand system auditing functionality.

Version 2.00 also updates the auction system to the latest Microsoft technologies, using Entity Framework and MVC throughout and affording enhanced support for SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008.
